About Us
Rachel Barnett-Jones - Founder
I learnt early on that if I can get three dancers, one stage manager and an 8ft tall metal fibre-optic glowing flower into a rickety old van at 4am in the morning, drive them up a motorway for three hours, tumble out of the van and into a theatre with not quite enough time to reconstruct the 8ft tall flower, and then make hundreds of children gasp in wonder (at both the dancers AND the flower), then I can probably do pretty much anything I set my mind to.
Since those early days of my career touring the country in a van with esoteric children's dance theatre, I've written and produced for theatre, television and audio, lectured post-grads, written funding bids, consulted on project design and marketing, designed an escape room, educated (a lot), raised a small human into a tall human, and, in one of my favourite all time gigs, been the Writer in Residence for the entire City of Milton Keynes for a year.
And I haven't run out of steam yet.
